2019 Hyundai Santa Fe: The Next-Generation Crossover
June 26 2019, Hyundai of Regina
The globally popular Santa Fe is now in its fourth generation as a leader in the crossover market and it has undergone a redesign for 2019. Supported by the proprietary SUPERSTRUCTURE, each Santa Fe is even safer than before with added strength and materials.
The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe’s New Look and Features
The exterior of the new Santa Fe looks more modern than many of its competitors. All trims receive many standard features that give this SUV great value, including projector and automatic headlights with LED accents, LED daytime running lights, front fog lights, and a LED roof-mounted Centre High-Mount Stop Lamp (CHMSL). Power heated outside mirrors keep lines of sight clear in challenging weather, and premium exterior mouldings and trim contribute to its premium look.
The Essential trim features 17” alloy wheels, while the Preferred, Preferred Turbo, and Luxury trims add 18” versions. The premium Ultimate trim upgrades them to a head-turning 19” wheel.
Trustworthy SUV Power in the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe
All Santa Fe models are impressively powerful. The Essential and Preferred trims have a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine that produces a solid 185 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. It’s matched with a new eight-speed automatic transmission that drives the front or all four wheels. The FWD models average 9.6 l/100 km in fuel consumption and the AWD versions reach an average of 10.1 l/100 km.
If you want the ultimate in Santa Fe power, a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder generates 235 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine is also paired with the standard eight-speed automatic transmission.
The reworked interior adds quality materials, comfort, and easy functionality. All trims have heated front seats and 60/40 split rear fold-flat seats with recline. With the seats upright, there’s over 1,000 litres of cargo capacity and over 2,000 litres with the rear seats folded flat, which is fantastic when you need to get the most out of your SUV.
All trims have either a seven- or eight-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Bluetooth hands-free phone system, and a rearview camera. The Ultimate trim has a heads-up display, wireless charging pad, and a 630-watt Infinity premium audio system.
