The Genesis Sedan is a midsize rear-wheel drive sedan that comes equipped with an unparalleled level of luxury features, including leather seating, sunroof, Bluetooth®, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control System (TCS). For 2012 the Genesis gets its most powerful engine yet, the first ever 5.0-litre Tau V8 mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC®. The Tau V8 produces 429 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 376 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm, and since its introduction in 2009, the Tau V8 engine family has been named to the prestigious Ward’s Ten Best Engines list for consecutive years.

This year the Lambda V6 engine receives the GDI treatment. It gets a boost from 290 to 333 horsepower, a gain of 15 percent despite identical displacement. The engine is now offered with an 8-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC® for added fuel economy and performance.
